KOMEK MACHINERY KAZAKHSTAN · CRCMy responsibilities on the CRC project
My practical experience includes the new Komatsu Component Rebuild Center in Astana, an investment project of approximately USD 20 million. Below are the main areas of my responsibilities.
01My role in CRC
I actively participate in developing and adapting the technological concept for the new Komatsu Component Rebuild Center (CRC) in Astana alongside Japanese technical specialists and Komatsu CIS consultants, including Sergey Yuryevich Zavivalov, the lead concept developer. I contribute to production-area planning, technological workflows, equipment layout and engineering infrastructure requirements. On behalf of KOMEK Machinery Kazakhstan, I coordinate project delivery, including design and construction, CAPEX budgeting and control, equipment procurement, contractors, permitting and preparations for commissioning and operational launch.
Concept development is a collaborative international effort led by Sergey Zavivalov. I do not claim sole or principal authorship.
02Project delivery and construction coordination
I coordinate CRC project execution, from engineering decisions and construction through readiness for facility handover. I work with designers, construction supervision, the general contractor, suppliers and internal stakeholders. My responsibilities include milestones, construction and utilities readiness, change coordination and project risks.
Specialist contractors perform construction works. My role is project-side management and coordination, not independent provision of regulated construction services.
03CAPEX and investment planning
I prepared and calculated the CRC project budget for shareholder review, covering construction, process equipment and start-up activities. My work includes cost planning, procurement coordination, budget constraints and change management. The overall investment scale is approximately USD 20 million.
The figure describes the investment project, not my personal consulting contract value.
04Equipment and production processes
I contribute to equipment requirements, supplier engagement and coordination of equipment selection. I help plan equipment layouts and the civil, power, cooling, compressed-air and other utilities needed for installation and testing. The facility covers repair, rebuilding, diagnostics and testing of heavy-equipment components.
Detailed technical decisions are coordinated with specialists, concept developers and equipment manufacturers.
05Permits and infrastructure
I coordinate project approvals, permitting workflows and relationships with relevant public and utility organizations. This includes connections for electricity, water supply, wastewater and other infrastructure required to operate the facility.
Regulated approvals and technical works are performed or issued by competent authorized parties.
06Commissioning and operational readiness
I coordinate the sequence from construction completion through equipment installation, commissioning preparation and phased start-up. This includes aligning activities and readiness across multiple workstreams.
As of October 2026 the CRC project is still being delivered and prepared for launch. It is not described as already commissioned.
07Wider professional background
My engineering and management background includes equipment operations, industrial infrastructure and technical project coordination. This helps me approach service centers as future operating businesses, not merely as construction projects.
